Cinnamon toast?

I fancy making this for Boxing Day but have never had it before so am googling recipes. There seem to be 2 kinds - one is just toast sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon which sounds too easy, and the other is basically eggy bread sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Which is best or are there any other ways?

I have done it both ways and it's lush

The sugar and cinnamon on toast if I'm in a hurry or eggy bread if it's a more leisurely morning.

I love toast with cinnamon and sugar on it, I put butter on it first too

I make eggy bread, with cinnamon and mixed spice in with the eggs, and bake it in the over for 15 mins. Then sprinkle with more cinnamon and sugar at the end.

Oooh, we used to do sugar on toast under the grill and it was yummy, so I think with a bit of cinnamon mixed in it would be great.
The eggy one would probably be more like French toast, but agree, yummy.

Thanks all. I might make some butter creamed with sugar and cinnamon and then spread that on hot toast, saves getting a pan out too!

mrs b, its really nice to mix powdered sugar and cinnamon on eggy bread but call it french toast instead of eggy bread
