Well, Bobby is home....

Basically, he has lost over 10% of his birthweight, and it is against hospital policy to discharge on that basis. He has lost less with each day, so he is stabilising. Plus, on day 1 discharge was based on keeping his blood sugar up, then day 2 it was slowing his weight loss, then today it suddenly became registering a weight gain

I will be getting daily visits from the MW who will weigh Bobby, and I have no doubts they will be pushing me back to the hospital if his loss doesn't even out very soon.

The dr was actually fine with it, he said he understands how pressurised the hospital environment is, and that DH is back to work on Tues, I can't drive myself, the bus takes 40 mins each way, I have a toddler etc etc its just standard hospital policy. The alternative was to stay in another night, and tbh I really don't think the situation would be any different

So now I am on the wagon of obsesed about weight mothers. Bobby has gone from 8 lbs 3 oz at birth to 7 lbs 5 oz now, so please keep everything crossed he starts to gain it back very very soon
