Is Kung Fu Panda suitable for a 3 year old?

I was thinking about taking T to the cinema as a treat as the holidays are coming to an end.

I wondered about taking her and a friend to see KFP. Do you think it is suitable?

She's never been to the cinema before. Do you think she would be more excited if her friend was there or better behaved? Usually they are pretty sensible together.

    Any advice gratefully received!

Lola found it boring and Jackson fell asleep. We have taken her to see a few films, she loved Horton hears a who, and Wall-e but Kung Fu panda has loads of fighting and jumpy moments.

Thanks J, that's really helpful as I wasnt sure how "violent" it would be.

    I had forgotten about Wall-e!

I'm going to say the opposite to She-Ra!

Joe loved Kung Fu Panda, Evie was a bit less enthusiastic but she sat all the way through it.
There obviously IS a lot of kung-fu fighting, so it's mabe not the best if you have an objection to that sort of content, but I really enjoyed it, it's very funny, and there aren't any 'slow' sections. I wouldn't say it's 'violent' as such (I absolutely hate violence on screen myself, I never choose to watch violent films).
The baddie snow leopard is a bit scary initially, btw.

On the other hand, my two found Horton Hears a Who totally bewildering - Joe fell asleep and Evie started to wander about, she was bored by it.

    Thanks flipflop!

I didnt think that it was going to be that bad, but sometimes she gets a bit scared, like the bit with Bruce the shark in Finding Nemo. So I'd rather she watch it on a video so she can fast forward the scary bits!

I cant wait until she is old enough to watch a film with me
