If only it were that simple - When i was expecting little tc i had a faaaab book which explained things - dd is 7 too (although i did have to slightly elaborate on the "special hugs" bit - which got an ugggggh from dd)

BUT it was basic and i am actually dreading "the proper chat" so i'll be watching your post eagerly dora

she is quiet open with me so i know she will ask me when she gets a whiff of someone talking about it..

Ive posted a similar thing on kids board.

My friends 5 yr old recently asked what sex was and if mummy and daddy do it, so its been playing on my mind how i will explain things to Lucy when the time comes

Which i think is enough for now - just where babies come from - (she is 7yrs going on 17 - o/t your posts about your dd recently sound sooooo familier to me)

BUT she is asking me what the tampax are for in my room - she knows where they go but not why I wish i had tied the two conversations together - and she has asked me what domcoms are (she was earwigging when the hv was round)

Why is it i can talk soooo freely with friends etc about sex but a 7yr old fills me with fear - im sure a large g&t will help

tc our daughter do sound so alike,my daughter found my towels when i had amy she asked me what they where for and i just told her the truth which i found easy ish i just said when you have a baby you bleed and you need something to hold it to stop it going through your clothes,to which i got why not use amys nappies..i said her nappies wouldnt fit my ass and grown ups dont wear nappies they use these...she said im not having babies then if thats what i have to wear... so we tackled it for the moment but ive got "periods" to come and everything as for babies she was told its a seed that gets placed in your belly and grws...she's yet to ask how the seed gets there..i shall keep an eye out for them books
