Weight question
No I am not asking for myself and no there isn't anything I need to tell you all but I have a work colleague with a bit of a weight worry so I thought I'd come and ask you girls.
"Do you remember how much weight you had put on at around week 18?
I am starting to get nervous, according to the books I have it should be around 5-6 kilos, whereas I reckon I have not put more than 2.5-3 Kilos"
Any answers girls?

Re: Weight question
I'd put on around 5-6lbs I think - don't know what that is in kilos though. I'm just over 35weeks now, and have put on 19lbs in total. I think it depends on your BMI to start with as mine was about 25 so slightly high - from asking the question on here and HB before it seems that people with a lower BMI at the beginning of pregnancy seem to put on more. I think I had plenty on my bum to nourish baby with already!

Re: Weight question
I'm in week 21 and I've put on 6lbs. I'd put on less with DD1 as I had bad morning sickness for the first 20 weeks. I made up for it though as I put on 1.5 stone by the end.

Re: Weight question
I hadn't put on any weight by that stage. It started to go on after 29 weeks and I have put on just over a stone so far. I have 4 weeks to go.

Re: Weight question
Well, just thought that I would share the theory of a low BMI=lots of weight in pregnancy.
I had a BMI of around 17/18 which is low for my weight/height.
I put on over 4 1/2 stones in pregnancy and was seriously overweight, had a tiddy baby of 6lb and 5 oz! so it wasnt all baby!
Happy to say though that the weight came over just after her first birthday.
