Anyone had a baby who didn't crawl OR bumshuffle or move AT ALL?
She's got a great reach but doesn't show any interest in crawling or bum shuffling. If I put her on her tummy she cries and I have to get down on my tummy with her - she can slide backwards but that's the extent of it!
Now, sit her down and let her hold your thumbs and it's another story, she pulls herself up to standing and wobbles around - it's very funny. Can't really move her feet or lift/bend her legs yet though
.
She especially loves sitting astride my legs and using my hands as leverage to pull herself up.
So, I'm thinking she just is not going to crawl at ALL
and wondered if anyone has any experience of this at all, and whether it's regarded as normal.
Lulah crawled at 9m on the dot, loved being on her tummy and could crawl at the speed of light, which I think is why walking wasn't really of much interest
, so I don't have any experience of a princess buddah!

Tilly didn't crawl until she was well over 12 months. Like T2 she had an amazing reach and figured out other ways to get to what she wanted...it took her ages to get the confidence to get into the crawling position and even then she spent a good couple of weeks getting into the position, scaring herself and crying

Once she did crawl it was only a matter of weeks before she was pulling herself up...took her a bit longer to grasp cruising...and then she walked at 16 months...
She is probably a late bloomer - i wouldn't worry, the fact she is pulling herself up shows she has the strength to crawl - just not the inclination!

DD didnt crawl until her first birthday
Nothing atall, she was't even fussed for rolling she just wanted to sit and watch the world go by and let people bring things to her
She is still a bit like that now and has only just started walking recently (at 19 months) and doesnt do it all the time still prefering to crawl over walking

Erm I've got one who I found - this afternoon - moving across the living room carpet at high-speed.....
... only he was face down on the carpet being propelled by his brother through a huge pile of toys (like a human snowplough
) - and he was crying - a LOT!
After I screamed WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and sorted it all out it became apparent that Alex was helping him learn to crawl
.
Other than that he doesn't move much - although he does sort of flap like a skydiver and occasionally this results on him travelling backwards somehow!

Dd1 bumshuffled but didn't do it until she was about 1. She eventually walked at 16 months. Dd2 crawled but again not until about one year. she walked at 18 months.
No, you are not the only one with a buddha baby. Enjoy that plonkability while it lasts.
