Rash? Is this teething?

When Oscar woke up this morning I noticed a pale rash behind his ears and over his forehead and down his temples. THen later this afternoon I noticed it was all over his stomach and chest too. I did the glass test and I think that's fine.

Now, he's definitely been teething over the last few days - very grumpy, disturbed sleep and responding well to bonjela on his lower gum. I can feel the tooth under his gum too.

But he's also had a bit of a temperature and everything I've read about teething says that a raised temperature is not a symptom.

Would you be worried? Should I go to the Dr? I got put off the Dr last week when I was worried about O's breathng. He made me feel like a hypochodriac (on Oscar's behalf) and gave me a lecture on SIDS and co-sleeping.

Thomas and Dan have both been Dr's with rashes like you describe. Been told they are non specific viral and just calpol to bring temp down. It goes in a few days usually. If your worried i'd take him GP to to have it confirmed.

It's probably a viral rash.
Daisy had roseola when she was the same age as Oscar and she had a temp for a few days and the rash appeared a couple of days later and lasted for 4 days.

ooh thank you, I just wasn't certain. I thought it might be heat rash but our house is cool and he's been in a short sleeved , short legged romper suit today so definitely not too hot I think. I'll keep an eye on it

He won't take calpol or medised at the moment, he just spits it out. we had to mix it with yoghrt the other day just to get him to take it and even then he had his suspicions

Alex has a rash as well - mainly on his cheeks and bum and I am thinking its teething rash, or possibly a heat related rash.
