Do you get up with your LO's as soon as they wake up in the morning?

Following on from CL's bedtime thread. Just wondering what everyone else does in the morning?

I don't I let them potter around the bedrooms playing, especially do this if they wake at 5am. If it's a school day SD usually takes them down and gives them breakfast and I get up about half an hour later. DH is already downstairs as he sleeps on the couch these days as he can't get any sleep because Hannah is in our bed. On weekends they will usually shout DH until he comes up and gets them (stairgate at top of stairs) and I'll sleep in.

Can you tell I'm not a morning person?

If it's a work/nursery day then we'll all get up pretty much straight away. But Mr B works shifts and I only work 3 days a week so half the time we just stick the stairgate up and let him wander around upstairs while we attempt to snooze for a while. He's normally climbing all over us or putting shoes in the bed or dressing up in my underwear, keeps him happy for an hour or so!

Maisie stays in her room until we go and get her. She is usually still in bed, but she can be out of it playing with toys. But she doesn't leave the room .

At weekends, I will usually go in at about 9 to get her.

Dan comes in to see me, goes down to see OH if he is downstairs dealing with Molly, then he wanders off to his room to play for a while - very loudly though .

I then open my eyes and reveal I am awake!

We showed ds2 how to use the sky box so he goes downstairs and puts NickJr on. Dd3 will also go down and put the telly on. It's very rare for ds3 to get up before those 2 so he goes to watch telly with them.

I/DH get up with E as soon as she comes for us. We've taken the stairgate off her door now so she tends to potter in her room for a while and then come into our room. At that point one of us will get up with her.
