Ideas for school project

DD2 (7) is currently learning about recycling/reusing in school. Her project for this quarter is to make something out of trash. I've been racking my brain, but can't come up with anything creative. So, any suggestions? I was thinking of something from an egg carton or an empty coffee can???

What about a mobile with coathangers and spoons/etc? Something out of papier mache? A light catcher from an old CD? Sure if you google it there will be loads of better ideas but those are my first random thoughts!

A dress from carrier bags and decorated with bottle lids and stuff

Toy from egg boxes (dragon, monster etc)

Puppet theatre from carboard box - she could make finger or stick puppets from packaging, birthday cards, silver foil etc

Photo frame from card, decorated with shiny paper

Pencil holder from the coffee can - paper mache to cover and decorate, or you could cover with newspaper clippings about recycling - paint with PVA glue to make a hard, shiny surface

I teach 7 year olds and all of these should be do-able with a little adult help.

Ohh, those are some great ideas everyone! I'll talk it over with dd and see what she would like to do. Keep them coming if you think of more ideas. It's not due for 2 more weeks.
