    What can I do with trashed cupcakes?

    The ones that failed are in a bowl, essentially a large bowl of madeira crumbs. Large crumbs.

    Shall I bin them or is there anything I can do with them?

    That doesn't involve trife

    Serve with choc custard (custard powder plus cocoa) as a fabby school canteen style pudding - toddlers and husbands love it!

    (I do this will all my disaster sponges and going stale leftover bits)

    use them as a trifle base!

    ETA just read your post properly. Add to melted chocolate and dried fruit to make some kind of refrigerator cake/sweet thing. I'm sure the children would go mad for it tomorrow...
