Anyone had a breast reduction and then gone on to get pg?

My boobs ahve been absolute agony, since before we even knew I was pg. The nipples react very badly to cold, very very painful!

Today was worse than normal, even though I am sure I wasn't really that cold. I felt like my boobs were stuck in a freezer and the whole area hurt - and not just a little bit - to the point where I took painkillers!

Is it normal to be so much more sensitive? Or is anything normal? My boobs were no where near as sensitive in my first two pgs but I don't know if I just shouldn't compare o if this is different because of the op.

I don't think there is anything wrong, but just wondered if I have to expect this everyday/time that there is a chill in the air? Luckily, we are going into spring/summer rather than into winter.

    That would be me!
Hi Helcatt, I got pregnant 6 years after my breast reduction and didn't notice any significant pain. They were a little tender but nothing unusual.

I do remember though that about a year /18months after my surgery there was some pain and twinging as my nerves started to reassert themselves. my breasts and nipples were completely numb after the op but apart from one random numb patch on my right boob I have full sensation back now! How long is it since your surgery? Maybe the pain isn't pg related but is a nerve recovery pain?

Anyhoo congrats on the pg and maybe ask your surgeon or GP for advice if you're worried .

If you've any other breast reduction q's feel free to pm me, I have no shame and will answer anything !

Me to, i had a breast reduction 12 years ago. Took a good couple of years to get sensation back in my nips but now they are very tender. I dont think its anything to do with the reduction, just pregnancy hormones. And thankfully they havent yet grown back to their 34 FF or G stage !!

I got pregnant three years after my breast reduction and I didn't have any pain at all. In fact, the whole breast tenderness thing was one of the pregnancy symptoms I never had and I just put it down to the op!
