Who should walk me up the aisle??

It won't be my dad, as they won't be there (see posts in Self)

    So who should do it?

I have no ideas, I don't have any brothers/cousins etc

I don't want to ask Dans dad as he is there for Dan not me

I could ask my best friend who is also my bridesmaid although will that look desperate?

Or i could walk up hand in hand with Oliver

    What do you think?

I could ask one of dans brothers but that seems a bit weird

Or shall I just walk up alone with bridesmaids and Oliver behind me?

Re: Who should walk me up the aisle??

What do you want to do? Have a good think about who you would like to walk you up the aisle or if you want to walk up by youself.

I have been to weddings where friends have done or bridesmaids. I have seen a bride walk up the aisle on her own and have also been to a wedding where a couple have walked up the aisle together.

If you wanted to you could walk up the aisle with you little boy or your best friend.

Whatever you do will be right for you. It won't look desperate or silly. I think it would be nice for you to walk up the aisle with your little boy but its up to you.

I think it would be lovely to walk up with Oliver But it's totally your choice - can't imagine anyone thinking any option is 'weird', it's whatever YOU want

My first thought when I saw the title of this thread was "Oliver" He is one of the most important men in your life so it makes sense.

i would say Oliver or even alone. I always said after my dad died that I would give myself away, not as though I was at home or anything like that. My mum did do it for me though.

Re: Who should walk me up the aisle??

M Bop and I walked in together.

As I'd been married before I didn't want my dad to give me away again as I felt I would be a bit like a boomerang, but for anyone else to do it would have insulted my dad. The minister did offer to do it himself, but we preferred to walk in together, albeit not holding hands untl the way out.

Hope you find the right solution for you.
