    Jacket Potato Fillings

Whats your favourite? I need some inspiration

I normally just do either cheese and beans, cheese and coleslaw or cheese and chilli (can you see a common theme there...) sometimes I branch out and have tuna mayo

What about egg mayo?! Not keen myself, but they do it in spud-u-like.

ermm, what else? What about Coronation Chicken?

I half the cooked jacket, scoop all the soft potato out - mash it with butter and lots of cheese, pop it back in the potato skin, top with grated cheese and pop back in the oven for a bit!

I venture out with sometimes adding bacon and/or onion to the mix too!!!!

I make cheese savoury also - grated cheese, grated carrot, very finely chopped red onion and celery and mayo.

Hmmm - I see a cheese theme here too Joanna!
....she would have been nice looking if she hadn't been wearing a look that suggested there was a nasty smell under her nose..........

    Just for Noo Noo:

ooh Narcissa, those sound really good, I like the sound of scooping it out, mixing it and putting it back again - will give that a whirl!

I did fried mushrooms and soft cheese yesterday and they were lovely, no need for butter

Tuna and cheese is a nice one as well.

When the kids want jacket tatties I do what Narcissa does. I scoop out the tatty, mash with butter then add grated cheese and some chopped up ham, then pop it back in the skins and put some of the cheese on top.

I just smoother mine in butter and cheese or tuna and garlic mayo :wik:
