Re: Painting Baby Furniture ????
In the supernanny book I had it suggests painting walls and furniture in a water based paint that is low in VOC. If you can afford it, she says. I doubt you could get it in homebase.

This is what babyworld says.

Any low VOC is fine the breatheasy crown range is easily availiable and perfect for the job there is also some toy paint you can get called japloc(sp) but that would cost nearly as much as a new crib!
We painted ours with the breatheasy stuff and it's fine hasn't flaked or chipped and didn't smell!
The fear is really with lead based paints that are no longer availiable.
The key is to prepare the sufaces well rubbing them down with a cosrse then fine sandpaper to make sure the paint sticks to get a nice job!!
