  • Salary / FTE

I might be being daft, but if a part-time job is advertised at a particular salary FTE, does it mean that the salary is worked out as a percentage of the full-time rate? I've seen a job that looks OK if this is the case, but pays way too little if it in fact means the same as pro rata.

Anyone know? Thanks!!! (off to write up CV for first time in 4 years!!!)

    Re: Salary / FTE

Yup - Full Time Equivalent basically means the same as Pro Rata

so if job it £20k FTE and its over 2.5 days you get £10k

FTE = Full time equivalent i.e 1.0 post
I work 3 days a week = .6 FTE and get paid .6 of the pay for the job.
(Do 1.0 of the work, of course.....)
      Hope that helps?

          Thanks ladies!

In fact then, the job is paying 10,500 FTE so I think I'll be giving that one a big fat miss

          Cheers!!!
