  • Fabric balloon covers - anyone seen any / make them?

We were at tumbletots this morning & they had fabric balloon covers to play with. They seemed like s fantastic idea for parties to stop balloons getting popped but I can't find anywhere in the UK who sells them.

Anyone here know what I'm talking about? Any ideas where I might get them, quickly?

Thanks kk. They're dearer than I thought they'd be, don't think dh would let me buy 10 of them

Might have to rethink that idea.

They should be dead simple to make if you can find a friend who's handy with a sewing machine?

Strange coincidence, I just made one of these today, it only took about half an hour. The pattern is here http://littlegenegreenbean.blogspot....l-pattern.html

I've also seen them to buy http://www.amazon.co.uk/Djeco-Pop-Ba.../dp/B005NMI0YI

Thanks minigirl Do you think I could hand sew it? I don't have a machine.

I would think so, it would just take you longer. My sewing isn't very neat anyway, but once you turn it inside out and blow up the balloon it looks fine.

Does it really matter if balloons get popped? Although they never seem to in this house, the DD's won't let me bin them, and I have balloons hanging round for weeks after a party. I certainly don't want them lasting longer

It does if it terrifies the children Faith. Daniel has a friend who has a real phobia, his nursery thought it was a good idea to burst 100 balloons with a group of 1 year olds , but everyone else loves them so I have a nightmare every time.

Not to mention Ethan thinks its a good idea to eat them
