  • Help- curry is too spicy !

Have made a curry with the left over turkey and a packet mix ( that said MILD!!) and it is sooo hot

Have added a small tub of natural yoghurt which has taken some of the edge off but is still far too hot for us to meat.

So what can I add to make it milder?

A tin of chopped tomatoes? You'll have to simmer it for another 20mins or so.

Once the curry is served with the rice, maybe some salad and more yoghurt on the side it will be fine.

I *think* you can add a couple of raw potatoes and cook them in the curry then remove at the end and they absorb some of the heat. I haven't tried it though!

You could also add tomatoes/onions/peppers? Or lentils are nice in curry and would bulk it out, making it less spicy.

I was going to say potato too. I know that works for soup etc. that is too salty but I'm not sure if it will take the heat out of a spicy dish.
