I made the boys a new Santa sack. I've done them to tie, but I think I might put a zipper in as I think the proportions are a bit wrong when they're tied. I was a bit worried about the applique of the letters but it was really straightforward.

I'm quite proud of myself, actually.

Thanks to you crafty ones for the inspriation!

They are fab! :thumb:

I think they'd be fine just as sacks without any tie or zip. Or could you put a drawstring in?

Ahh they are mega-cute well done!

How about just sewing a bit of ribbon onto the top edges (one bit on the front, one bit on the back) to tie into a bow to hold it shut?

I think that sounds like the easiest option. I would like a drawstring but cba unpicking the bits I've stitched and making it look all neat again (crafty queen I am definitely not  )

Noo Noo is right, they do look ok as just sacks, but if I add a tie like Betty Mae has suggested then things won't fall out.

Thanks for your replies everyone
