Well Lucy is 16 months and doesn't really eat chocolate unless i'm using it as a bribe so i'm not bothering getting her a chocolate egg for Easter, PLUS 5 friends have already told me they've gotten her an egg and thats without my Nan, Mum, other friends (possibly another 4) my Sister and my Dad getting her eggs too
Just looking for inspiration! She doesn't really need any clothes but i was thinking about a new toy, possibly spending around £15.

No it doesnt make you a bad Mummy at all!
TBH i don't think i'll ever bother buying her an egg at easter, she'll get plenty off everyone else and tbh they're bloody expensive!!
I've got 11 children to buy eggs for and i've been thinking of getting them all something other than an egg but their ages range from 3 to 14 so its a bit difficult, it would mean i'd have to THINK about every individual present rather than just buy them all the same, as opposed to going somewhere and buying 11 chocolate eggs!!
I still get eggs from my Nan and my Dad, and DH usually buys me one to so thats 3 for ME to eat already, then i'll just HAVE to start on Lu's! I'm going to have to make sure i tell people she prefers galaxy chocolate to cadburys! :wik:

Well I have bought Ellis The Little People Discovery Village and he has 2 Easter Eggs, he was only having 1 but I miss counted when I bought them on Saturday.
Mum asked me what I wanted for him and I said clothes cos they cost a fortune, and I will only end up eating his eggs for him

Paige has got the Tigger Movie DVD so DH can load it to his portable video gadget thing for her to watch on the plane to the US. My folks got her the Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh on DVD for the same reason.
I will probably allow her one egg from her easter egg hunt on Monday!

I think we'll be getting Elise a new set of Baby Einstein DVDs from eBay. When I go to the Chessington meet I can finally give Chelseaharvey hers back (poor Alfie) and although we copied them all from her, they don't seem to work on our new swish DVD player  She's got £20 from her birthday that we've yet to do anything with, so given that they're about £45, probably that. She's already got 3 eggs, and never usually has chocolate, so I don't fancy getting her any more! (As it is, OH will probably eat most of what she's got as well as his own  )

Ryan is rather fond of Easter Eggs  Have to keep them out of his reach otherwise he helps himself, which just isn't on as Mummy was expecting to be eating his this year :choc:
I was thinking of getting my 2 a DVD each but might just buy them as egg coz they're cheaper :laff: Actually I'll maybe take them somewhere for the day rather than buy them something - they both have loads of toys & DVDs already and its Ryans birthday in a few weeks. There isn't really anything they need atm.

I have them each an Easter egg - but tbh the eggs are small, but they have gifts with them IYSWIM. I bought them ages ago - Connor's has a 'Guess Who' game with it. I can't remember what Eilis's has - bought them about 2 months ago!!

i have got mia a chocolate buttons egg, she has already a Cadbury's Caramel, MrlJJ and i ate the caramel, and there is a 1/3rd of the egg left, and we have i guess 1/3rd and Mia the other. We got it 2 weeks ago from my dad's cousin
My mum has bought Mia some clothes and will probablly get her a little egg or something.
Err, nothing
He gets to spend 4 days with me and DH though :D
Don't see any need for chocolate (for him I mean - bring it on for me :choc: :ellie: :D) and as we don't celebrate Easter I wouldn't buy him a toy/clothes instead....
He gets enough all year round as it is

I never buy Kenidee a big egg, she's not a big fan of chocolate so I am getting her a Bratz Genie and a Bratz Genie egg which is a small egg with a handbag in.
I will buy my neice something other than an egg and my sister will buy Kenidee something other than an egg too!

High in fat, low in fat, DUST!! You can have as much DUST as you like
Yes Adelelee 11 eggs  I wish these people didn't all buy for Lucy (same as Xmas) but they DO so it means we have to buy for their kids and they all have more than 1  DH's best friend has 3 kids, other friends have 3, other friends have 2 then there is My little Bro who is 4, and my Sis who is 6 and my friends little boy so that makes 11

Well i HAD decided to buy Lu one of those talking PLAYSKOOL vacuums i'd seen in Tesco, but i've just been and lucky me, they've sold out
Anyway, decided to take Lu to Toys R Us to see if i could spy a bargain and i did, and she loves it.
This is what i got for her!!

I got her a little doggie egg from Tesco, it has milky bar in it and afterwards is a wobbly doggie money box but could just be a toy IYSWIM. I imagine that me and DH will probably eat most of her choc as she doesn't eat that much, she does like it though. I am going to get her a Balamory DVD as she :heartlipstick: it!

Nothing.
When did Easter become a time for presents? (not being argumentative- but we never got any as kids- just wondering if it is an English thing)

I went shopping today and got Maisie some new clothes. So that will count as her Easter present.
We are thinking of doing an Easter egg hunt whilst we are on holiday in Pembrokeshire. Do supermarkets sell very cheap hollow small eggs? I don't want to do it with creme eggs because they make me feel  .

It isn't s time for presents Lola but if you read my original post you will see why i decided to buy her a little something instead of a chocolate egg!!
Nothing.
When did Easter become a time for presents? (not being argumentative- but we never got any as kids- just wondering if it is an English thing)
umm I've never heard of presents at easter either  (I'm english btw Lola).
I don't even buy an egg, and I wouldn't expect to receive one (although I would be eggstremely grateful if one did appear (see what I did there ;) ).
DH did ask me if I wanted anything, but that's a legacy from his ex-wife who expects a present for putting her shirt on the right way round- he always asks if I want anything, then double checks just in case I'm saying no in a "but if you don't get me anything I'll be cross" type of way- bless him.
Have to say, personally, I find this present-for all-occasions mentality a bit disturbing.
We don't buy DD any :choc: as she is allergic so we get her a present instead, this year its the new Harry Potter DVD as for Jack we aren't getting him anything, he has had so much stuff bought for him in the last 3months he doesn't need anything!!
**Off topic** Mrs D I love weebles i had them as a kid and didn't know you could still get them

Well Lu has done really well and got LOADS of stuff, luckily not much chocolate which is good because for some reason this year me and DH have 10 eggs between US
She has had a lovely outfit from BIL & SIL, its a chocolate brown skirt with pink patterns on and a long sleeved pink to, very very pretty but probably won't fit her til the winter now but nice to keep. She has had a lovely little kitten backpack which will be great for the summer :D and a little plastic tea pot with a tea set and plastic cakes etc in it :D :D She loves playing house and copying so i'm sure this will go down a treat. She has also been stocked up on vests and socks and also some "shortie" PJ's for the summer! :D
She also has 7 eggs  so after i've eaten my 10, i'll start on hers  :laff:

Heck Katy, that's a lot of eggs! Should keep you going a while :choc:
Z has had a bit of money he wants to spend on a Dalek  and Del has had a dress which will be just the right size in the summer. It says 6-9m but it's huge!! And Del is dinky anyway.

We don't really do presents at Easter in our families, but Niamh did get a little cuddly dog, a Buttons egg in the Easter Egg Hunt and a Teletubby which she LOVES! We didn't get her anything. BUT as my stepdaughter is apparently having an Easter present from us I've decided Niamh's having one too when we go to Toys R Us tomorrow. :)
Scarlet got about 6 eggs (from my family) and her present that she'll get tomorrow, plus whatever she gets from her dad's family, plus whatever she gets from her mum's family.
I didn't get anything. :-( Will have to buy myself a reduced price egg from the factory shop next week! :laff:

Lorna got a Milky Bar egg from us and a dustpan and brush set at 50p and a tea set at £3. She hasn't stopped playing with them since she got them so a complete bargain :ellie:
My parents got her a pop up tent (under a tenner I think) and a Cadbury Buttons egg.
OH's parents got her a singing glove puppet and a couple of dresses for the summer.
