We have brought the black wortops for our kitchen, but obviously it needs cutting down to size and dean doesnt want to do it and mess it up

Were going to get someone in to do it, but does anyone know roughly what its going to cost??

Worktops can be a right nightmare, I would get someone in to do it because it is the thing that is on show all the time.

Just look in the yellow pages and ring a couple of them up and see what they say or get them out for a quote, don't have a clue how much though

If you're worried about doing the curvy bits on the corners my DH hired a jig from HSS for about £30/weekend and it was sooo simple and totally foolproof

I can totally understand that! DH was having kittens about doing it  In the end I got him to set it up, check it, double check it and check it again so he was happy with it and then he did it. I think if it had gone wrong he would never have spoken to me again!

Where did you buy it from? B&Q offer a service where they'll do a certain number of cuts for free - think it's only 3 or 4 or something, but might be enough? That's what we did when buying worktop for use at work!
