Is anyone still wearing underwired bras or is it just norty me :spank: :spank:
I HATED wearing maternity bras last time, even though I was wearing a 38D my boobs just looked ickle and blah with no wiring to give them a lift!!!
I am not planning on breastfeeding this time (I dont think  ) so cant see that I am doing any harm.
I have moved up to a 38C and they seem to be fine for the moment.......

Thanks Noo Noo, thats made me feel lots better
I remember going into M&S for an underwired bra in a bigger size as I was going to a wedding when I was 5.5 months with Miss E and was wearing a halterneck dress so no way could I wear a mat bra!! The woman in there went mad at me, saying I was being really silly and I should not be wearing it at all, never mind just for one day
I felt like telling her to stick it but I only had a few days left before the wedding and no time to get one from anywhere else

I'm still in underwired bras and shall remain in them until the bitter end - as I did with B. I will be breastfeeding so will have crap bras then.
Thing is, I'm a big-boobed lady and if I wanted my boobs around my knees I would have them so - no way you're parting me and my wiring.

I am wearing Mat bra's at the moment but when it gets into the summer and I want to wear strappy nice vest tops I will switch to nicer normal bras!

I wore underwired bras up until a few weeks ago when I got measured and needed a bigger size. I insisted that the woman got me some normal non-wired ones though and they are a little bit prettier than the maternity ones I vaguely remember. I think so long as they fit well it does not matter. I will be getting some underwired nursing bras once baby is here and my boobs have settled down.

When I first got fitted in Debenhams for a maternity bra, they put me in a Shock Absorber bra - I bought it in white and black. it gave me the most horrid flaps, and came up so high that any nice tops were a   and the straps were so bloody wide that was just minging!
I went to Bravissimo a couple of weeks ago to get remeasured, and they let me have underwired :ellie: I bought a white and a black and even though theyre not exactly sexy, I feel so much sexier in them! I have nice big full boobs now :boobies: instead of hanging flaps, the straps are more 'normal'. The fitter was very good and informative, and said as long as youre properly fitted, underwired is fine.

So glad I've seen this as I've agonised what to do about my bras. I am a big breasted lady (F/G) cup and I really need the underwire. I don't intend on bfing so I thought 'what harm?'
Just remembered that there is a Bravissimo in Brighton so might as DH if we can take a drive down there.
Thanks for putting my mind at ease ladies!!!!

I thought all pregnant women were advised to wear non wired bras
I must very naughty though as I wore underwired bras and still do most of the time and I am breastfeeding :spank:
I feel that non wired ones are supportive enough for bigger boobs. My nursing ones make my :boobies: look like half filled water balloons

I think you are right - something to do with the development of milk ducts or something I thought. But my argument is WHY wear them if you are not bfing and therefore not bothered about your milk ducts???
If anyone knows the answer I'd love to know what it is!:scratchchin:

Even if you are going to breastfeed it os ok to wear a wired bra as long as the wire sits flat against you and doesn't dig into the breast.

Well hee hee- there was no way on earth I could have worn non-wired maternity bras- they're foul:shock: I mean- forget wearing a lowcut top.
So I wore underwired bras right up until the day I gave birth and still wear them now- even though I've now been breast feeding for 8 weeks
I have a nursing bra which I wear at night- if I don't, I find a get some leakage- niiiice:lol:

LOL I only have one and I feel so grim in it that it is strictly for night only.
Tried sleeping with an underwired one- just couldn't do it, so ended up with nothing- and what a mess:happyno:

Yup... tried non wired ones and they either gave no support or tried to push my boobs together to make one!
I was a 32 G before pregnancy and getting measured today I'm up to a 38 G so there is no way I'm trying for non wired

I am wearing underwired too. I plan to breastfeed, fingers crossed xxxx
I went to buy mat bras, but nearly cried when I saw how ugly they were. I couldn't spend money on something I clearly hated.
