What do I wear to Mary Poppins ?

Tittle says it all really . We are going to London tomorrow and have tickets to see Mary Poppins . Its my 1st time at the theatre and have no idea what to wear . I have limited maternity wear at the minute so I might have to dash out to Oxford street to buy something .

I didn't go smart (just black trousers and a top) - but plenty of people went in jeans. Going the west end theatre doesn't seem as big a deal thesedays as it used to be.

You will enjoy it though - the tap dancing scene will blow you away (and inspired me to take it up myself!!)

If I were going I would probably wear black trousers and a smartish top but like Lois says people wear all sorts.

Hi girls thanks for the replies. I opted for black trousers and a nice top in the end :wik: I loved it it was fantastic , the set was fab too. We liked it so much we gor tickets for Mama Mia the next night which was brill as well. Thats the first time at the theatre for me but I really want to go again now.
