how do you know when its time to go up a size with the teats, william is on size 2 (meduim) as the hv suggested a slower flow teat till he got used to it. i was just wondering if there was any signs that he might need to go up or can he stay on 2?

I went up a size when DD began to start to take longer to finish a bottle and was getting restless whilst feeding.
At first the flow of the number 3's was a little quick for her, but she soon got used to it.

I moved up to flow 3 teats as he gets awfully frustrated and starts crying when he has his bottle. If he's happy on 2 then leave him.

he seems to be making some funny noises while feeding but he used to make noises while breast feeding too, but they have got louder and he is taking for ever to drink his bottle. thanks guys i might try buying a no3 tomorrow when i go shopping.

you can always try the next size up and if he doesn't get on with it after a few goes then go back down again - he'll use the bigger size at some point so it won't be a waste of money.

but if you think he's happy on it then stick with it.
