Im after a sling to take on holiday (my ellaroo MTD is going to be a bit warm, being black, my Moby wrap isnt really suited to warmer climates) Im not going til next September but would like to start looking now.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally, something slimline -ish (I find my current MT a bit bulky) that Tiny (who will be just 15mthsish) will be able to sit comfortably in, in the warmer weather
Thanks
How about something made out of solarveil? I've got a solarveil MT which has a hood, it's very thin and lightweight. I didn't really get to use it though as we obviously didn't go abroad this year and you know what the weather has been like over here!
I bought mine through the yahoo group via an ISO. I was originally looking for a Sachi solarveil/solarweave and this one came up.
You can get ringslings too. Zolowear do one and i think Kirsty of FBS made some this year too, BabyArmadillo were selling some i think.....
Yep, here you go:

She also did some MT's:

Then there's the solarweave Connecta aswell.....

I suppose in the heat anything fairly thin would do....

ETA: you can also get covers which protect bubs from the sun:

I used my Calin Bleu gauze in Majorca this summer and it was fine - not too hot at all.

I was going to say a gauze Calin Bleu would be worth a think on. TBH I don't find the CB linens much warmer and slightly nicer to wear (I worship at the font of linen everytime we get a heatwave, sooo breathable but still maga comfy) - dep on how hot a place youre going I guess. I wouldn't expect you'd prob still be moby-ing by then anyway, or there is a solarviel version. I'd be interested to try a solarviel connecta.

It'll be rather warm still (Tenerife, September time) - so I shall also look into linen - ta Nicki! Im not orderig til nearer the time as I dont know exactly how much Tiny will be walking by then but Im guessing she'll still need a fair bit of help and I'll be damned if Im hoicking the buggy overseas or paying to hire one out there. They have a Trunki a piece to keep them entertained at the airport  but it'll be a nightflight anyway so Im guessing Tiny will be better off being carried after security (even if she was in a buggy theyd make me take her out & then bung her in again cos they have to xray the buggy  )

I do the one handed ring sling dance at security every time. Always put the buggy in with hold baggage or don't bother. I wore a plastic ring rs once thinking I could go thu security with it on but noooo, t'would appear that I might have had a baby and a bomb in there so out he came ).

PMSL!
Its like the dance of the many viels, but more the dance of the many kids and bags - quite entertaining, but not as entertaining as the time I found myself doing a sales pitch for ergos to a random stranger whilst security were pawing their way thu the dregs of my handbag (half eaten musli bars, manky hair bands, balls of fluff, sanitary pads... :zombie:)
