I was quite excited to get one of these, thinking it'd be so much easier to clean than the gas one I had before, but no... the food seems to really congeal on it & though it looks clean when I wipe it, still looks stained when dry. :puzzled: Does anyone else have one and can you suggest a good product for cleaning it with?

Do you mean a hologen or induction type? I have an induction, and it is a breeze to clean - wipe with Hob Clean, wipe with damp cloth, wipe with a piece of kitchen roll, job done! TBH mine doesn't seem to get that dirty, only if I let something boil over, occasionally splatters of oil, but it all comes off beautifully because there are no nooks and crannies.

I think the Hob Clean stuff is the key.

Ooh Sparkly I have some Hob Brite stuff that you can have if you want. We have a gas cooker in our new house and I wonderded what to do with it now.

Used to use it to clean our ceramic hob and it was much better than Flash or similar.

Hob Brite (although I do tend to just scrub away at it with mr Muscle and a sponge during the week which my DH freaks at when he sees me as you're not supposed to apparently :teehee: and leave my cleaner to do a really thorough job once a week!!!)

Speaking of which - we've lost our "scrapy" thing that comes with it - does anyone know where you can buy replacement ones???

Thanks for the rec - I got some Hob Brite in Tesco y'day and my hob has never been so shiny! Didn't get a scraper with it though - does it usually come with one?

Mine didn't have a scraper with it, either, I think you can send away for one, there is a telephone number on the label on the back of the bottle. I've never felt the need for one!

Daisy May - I got mine from Asda.

Hob Brite is indeed for ceramic hobs!!

Sparkly you actually get a scaper with the oven - not the hob brite but I (well our cleaner - who am I trying to kid that I've ever used the damn thing  ) have managed to lose it.....

I have been through a million scrapers...Lakeland sell them and so do Kitchens but I have not managed to find one that does not fall apart with constant use!

Ps the scrapers are BRILLIANT getting dried on weetabix off highchairs - hence the constant yse in our house!
