DS2 is on the verge of walking and with the winter drawing near I really want to get him a pair of shoes.
Where can you get first walker shoes, other than clarks, as I really don't like their shoes and refused to pay alot for shoes I don't like. :happyno:
They need to go with all his clothes so as plain as possible would be good.
Thanks

Start-rite is the other main brand, but there are others too. If you have a local branch of John Lewis or Russell and Bromley they kids' shoes department should have a range. Personally I wouldn't buy any shoes for a new walker which weren't professionally fitted.

If you want proper fitted shoes then try either local independent shoe shops you know the kind that sell those "european" type shoes or Startrite is your best bet.
Lucy had some crawlers from Tesco that my Mum got her :thumb:

Although I did fork out for Clarkes I found that Mothercare did really nice soft shoes for first walkers that were about £10 - Xander loved them!
I hate Clarks too. I went to John Lewis and got some lovely Startrite ones, much much nicer than Clarks. I agree European brands are nicer as well but they are quite expensive.
