Have you ever worn something of your mum's because it was so fab and it came back into fashion?

My mum kept some purple suede thigh length boots that she bought when she was 20 (1967) and I wore them when I was about the same age. They were so lovely. She also kept a black and white bikini from the same time, it was black and fitted together with white plastic daisies.

Are you keeping anything for your children (even if you don't have them yet  )? If so, what?

I am keeping my wedding dress (black and gold satin full length Chinese dress), my ball dresses from my Uni years, and a hand made (by me) crocheted sequin top.

I will be keeping my jewellery that has come from my Mum and Grandmother. A couple of handbags and belts as well that are from them.

I have a very funky very pucci long A line long skirted halter neck dress that was my Mums - so fab - I will be keeping that one.

I also have some very funky 70's skirts that I will be keeping for my girls that were my Mums.

I will definitely keep some of my favourite things from each era for them.

I have already re-used some of my 80's bags and shoes that I bought new in the 80's and thankfully kept!

Annoyingly my mum threw away all her stuff, so I don't have any memories of the 70s... maybe a good thing? :teehee: but she has a very good, very fashionable friend with no daughters who will always give me all her old and not so old clothes which she doesn't feel 'young' enough to wear anymore :ellie:
