She started when we were on holiday and tbh i thought it was a bit of a fluke but she keeps doing them. I have to rush to help her (well aid her over cause i'm petrified she'll break her neck or something) but she really seems to have mastered it.
I thought they didn't do this kind of thing until they were at school  Have i got an Olympic Gymnastic in the making

yes if thats what you call them, she stands and puts her head on the floor foreheaf 1st as if she is going to do a headstand, and then she completly rolls over!

I thought everyone called them "gamboles/gambowls" (SP!) maybe its just a Brummie thing!!
I remember a few years ago trying to teach our friends little boy how to do them in our garden he'd have been 5ish at the time and just couldnt get the hang of it (he has got dysbraxia though, so has a problem with his co-ordination) but his little Bro who would have been 3 could do them no probs, i thought that was around the age they'd be able to do them.
She has very good co-ordination and has just started doing them with NO encouragement from me! It scares me to death every time i see her put her head on the floor, i have to dive across a room full of toys and books to make sure she goes over without landing on her neck or one of her limbs. She thinks its halarious (obviously) and does proper belly laughs when she see's all the colour as drained from MY face

Ryan attempts this ('tum'l yer wilkies' as it was known by my wee Grannie :laff: ) though he's not managed to roll over anywhere near straight yet, he just falls to the side. He often looks like he's trying to do a headstand and I nearly have heart failure incase he injures his neck before I get to him.

If she's going to be a gymnast, you'd better learn to call them "forward rolls" :laff:

Very impressive. Claire did one last week but it was such a fluke as she hasn't managed to do it again. And I call them gambowls too :) .
