Update on The Twins.

Elise is much better than she was (still no results from the lumbar puncture but they had to do another at the weekend as the first was no good). She doesn't need any oxygen anymore all she's having is a line for glucose and her antibiotic's, being part bottle and part tube fed.

She had her brain scan yesterday and the results were back today, she's had a 'moderate bleed' they are unsure if it happened and caused her 'collapse' or if it's an infection that caused the the bleed and collapse.

We don't really know what that will mean for Elise though, OH asked if she could make a full recovery but the Dr didn't seem able to answer as he didn't ''have the statistics''!

We're seeing a consultant tomorrow so maybe we'll get some answers then - they are always so reluctant to say anything though aren't they? I suppose it's understandable as the don't want to needlessly scare us or give us false expectations either but we'd like to be aware of the possibilities!

Sofia is doing really well and feeding brilliantly they did mention her coming home but we were still taking everything in about Elise so we couldn't answer.

Well that is fantastic news about Sofia :ellie:
And as for Baby Elise, I am praying that before long you will be able to take both of your beautiful girls home.
I know from experience when Roman was in Intensive care, that the doctors really do not like to say too much one way or another so please do not worry over their lack of answers (although this is easier said than done and at the time it drove me mad :angry:)

Oh honey :hug: I missed that all this had happened and seen that it was last weekend when J was poorly too :higgies:

It's so frustrating when you can't get answers but if you're like me you want people to tell you what you really know they can't. Its like you need constant reassurance :sigh:

Really hoping that the consultant gives you some answers and Elise keeps fighting - it's so so scary when they're poorly.
