Me and the MIL are heading to IKEA sometime soon to have a nosy and pick up a few bits and bobs. I've been looking on their website and it says they charge 70p for Visa/Mastercard credit card transactions but not on debit cards.

The thing is my debit card is a Visa Debit so does that mean I won't be charged or will I still be charged cos it's Visa? 70p won't stop me buying things but I'd like to be forewarned!

You'll be fine with your Visa Debit card as they only charge you for using a credit card - they're not the only company either, it seems to be becoming quite common for the vendor to pass the charges on to the customer.
