new fabric sofa V permanent marker

yep, guess what happens when you leave a 35 year old man in charge of a two year old...
My brand new red fabric footstool now has two delightful permanent ink marks across it (one of those pens you use to write on CDs).

Any ideas how to get it out?

You can get a spray stain remover called (I think) "De-solve it".

Stinks, but I've never known it to fail on any stain or mark I've had. Marks on clothes, carpets, furniture etc. Even gets chewing gum off.

I've had mine for years, I think I may have got it in Sainsbury's.

eta- dug it out of the cupboard and it's called de-solv-it, by Universal 2000. It says "advanced citrus technology (!), stain remover and pre-wash, removes: grease, tar, gum, paint, crayon. coffee, make up, wine, sauces, oil, ink and grass from virtually anything including skin and hair"

oooh thanks. I think I have some at the back of the cupboard, if not i know they have it in Tesco. I'll give it a whirl!
