First my frustration when having found a fab swimsuit, I couldn't actually buy it :hissyfit: (see my Next thread), now I have a real    moment with my Chanel ballet slippers.

What I have learned is NEVER buy summer shoes, which you will be wearing WITHOUT tights, in the middle of winter, whilst wearing tights.

They will be TOO FECKING SMALL, even though they ARE theoretically half a size bigger than you usually take.

You will wear them anyway, because they cost a ridiculous sum of money (paid kindly by the insurance company as I exchanged my wallet for the shoes :teehee:) and get blisters on your toes and rue the fact that you bought a 38.5 and not a 39, and believed it when you were told they would stretch.

Then you will cry and feel like pants :loco: :yeahright: :pants: because you really love the shoes but in NO way can you justify buying another pair, and even if you Ebayed them you'd only get £100 max as they have been worn half a dozen times.

Right, as you were. Thank you for listening to me moan!

Can't you get little tights things that just go on your feet? i.e. to wear with shoes, but not be visible.

Minky - I am sure that a cobbler will be able to stretch the leather very slightly. :fingerscrossed:

 oh I'm so sad for you!!!!!!!! (Personally I'd be tempted to lop a toe off :teehee: yes they are that scrummy)

mmm now there are definitely things that you can buy to stretch leather AND I think that maybe there are certain cobblers that will stretch them for you (or maybe you buy the stretchy leather stuff from them - :puzzled: can't remember but I did a post on the dark side absolutely ages ago and got loads of helpful tips. OBviously I never did anything with them and my Marks silver ballet slippers are still too small :hissyfit: )

Why not try emailing Timpsons? Or do you have a specialist cobblers near you (must do surely)

All I would say is DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE and DO NOT EBAY THEM till you've tried all avenues.

I'm SURE that there is a way to stretch them (and if you can bear to wear them for long enough, I'm sure that they would stretch eventually but obviously you're not going to - that would be foot suicide  )

We WILL sort it out chickie (or I may be tempted to lop two toes off and steal them from you :teehee: )
