Seeing as I'm nearly 6 months pregnant
But I know it's going in the sale and will be about £80........and I LOVE it. :puzzled: (or is that my hormones playing tricks on me.......the fact it's machine washable is obviously a MASSIVE tick in the box!)
I was thinking it would be lush with these shoes in the mint
http://www.toast.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-GB&ProductID=F6FI&CategoryID=footwear&pageno=2
which I am definitely going to go and try on as they will go with loads and loads of things I have. (not now obviously seeing as I live in flipflops and ballet pumps!! but they're a real classic imho!)
I love love love the dress and if the colour suits me (although not convinced it will...:scratchchin: ) I'm really tempted to get it so that I can fit into it post baby.
But I know that breaks all the rules of shopping - what would you do.....
(will go and see the dress irl next week!!)
Thanks for any advice!!

Wow I love those shoes! Want want want!!!! As for the dress, its lovely, but I think it will only suit a flattish chest, which you might not have post baby (certainly not straight away!) And if you breastfeed, how in the dress? Sorry to be so sensible and ruining your moment!

aw lucypede don't worry at all!!
I have NO breasts at all  Put it this way - they actually don't make maternity bras small enough for me - last time and this time I've gone up to a massive B cup (and am wearing a padded bra as we speak  have you ever heard anything so ridiculous??! :happyno: )
I won't be breastfeeding, so although it will no doubt take a month or so for my boobs to regress to being fried eggs again, in that time there is no way I'd be able to fit into the dress anyway!!!
btw those shoes are also going in the sale
I'm also loving these ones:
http://www.toast.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-GB&ProductID=F6RE&CategoryID=footwear&pageno=3
in the antique rose metallic, although not sure how comfy the elastic bit at the back would be? :scratchchin: Am thinking I will go and check out how soft the leather is. (and yes, going in the sale again!!!)

How do you know how much things will be?
That's what I was wondering! I've wanted those shoes for ages - the pumps - do you know how much they'll be in the sale?
I think that's one of those dresses would be much nicer on, though I'm not totally sure about the colour. The mint shoes are beautiful too. You bounced back so quickly last time I'd take the risk! My sis orders from Toast & think their sizes come up a bit big.

So the dress is £135 down to £81
the mint shoes are £175 down to £105
and the ballet pumps are £125 down to £69 :ellie:
If anyone wants to have a look at the website and ask me if something is reduced and to how much, feel free!!!!
I'm definitely going to go to Selfridges (this weekend if I can wangle it with DH  or on Mon in my lunch hour ) to check the things out irl before Wed.
Sparkly I too have been in love with those pumps for ages - they are SO SO lush aren't they, but I do wonder about the elastic at the back being tight and cutting in in bare feet....:scratchchin: What do you think?

Sparkly I too have been in love with those pumps for ages - they are SO SO lush aren't they, but I do wonder about the elastic at the back being tight and cutting in in bare feet....:scratchchin: What do you think? Just had another look & the lining appears to come right up to the edge of the elasticated bit, so I honestly think they'd be fine. The only ones I've ever tried on in a similar style (elasticated bit not the gorgeous toes!) was in New Look & they were like slippers! I would have bought them only the elasticated bit was too loose & I'd prefer it to smooth out when you put your foot in, rather than stay ruched. I'm sure the Toast ones are much better made and would be just gorgeous. In fact I'd love them in both colours! :yeahright:
As I said earlier  I think that dress is LUSCIOUS only thing is the colour - you don't want to look like a loaf of white bread :teehee:. So good idea to check it out. Style :thumb: shoes: double :thumb:.
Yummy!
Minky
PS while you are in Selfridges  could you pop into Next for me and check out those bikini bottoms? Pretty please?

It would look dreadful on my plumptious figure, but it's a beautiful dress Katkinn. Get it! I'm very jealous of you getting preferential treatment with advance sale catalogues  Where's mine?! Perhaps they've sussed that I only ever buy stuff in the sale.
ps has anyone ordered from Toast before and do the sizes come up small or are they generous???
They used to do very, very generous sizing, which I loved because I could buy a size smaller. Sometime last year though a note came through with the catalogue saying they were adjusting the sizing... so now, while things don't exactly come up small and are more standard. Think they have sizing guide on the website.
Get the shoes too! They're gorgeous.

:agree: GET THE SHOES! Regardless of whether you like the dress. I could never wear that colour or that cut - but then again you wouldn't know what it's like to have hips now would you  :happyno:
V. v. jealous of the shoes. Yum.

Right well I managed FINALLY to get to Selfridges today and that dress isn't nearly as nice irl (I suspected as much  ) The colour is really dull actually and definitely wouldn't have done anything for me HAD they had it in my size (they only had a 14 and a 16 and that's all they were ever sent)
I also didn't bother with the shoes - they're miles nicer in the piccie and are REALLY high irl (plus the heel isn't the same colour as the shoe and doesn't really match if you see what I mean)
BUT I did get the ballet shoes in the antique rose and they are DIVINE!!!! They're not actually the make Toast (none of their shoes are their own make weirdly - all other designers!) they're the make repetto if that helps anyone (sparkly?!!)
They are SO SO comfy (although she did advise me to get a size larger than I normally would as the elastic at the back makes the shoe smaller apparently!) and a really gorgeous colour.
Very pleased with them indeed!!
I also managed to get a sneaky pair of flat gold pointed leather shoes (with a little rope tie detail at the front ) from LK Bennett which i've had my eye on for a couple of weeks but didn't want to pay £120 for them!! (reduced to £90 so not the best reduction in the world but they are absolutely divine. Can't post a piccie though as I'm a cretin!!! sorry...........)
The things in Toast btw are absolutely divine quality - can highly highly recommend their trews and tops (I was salivating over some jeans and some lovely heavy twill wide legged trousers which I was VERY restrained with and didn't buy!!)
Roll on their winter stock!!!! (not that I can afford it not in the sale)
Thanks for all your comments. I'm now putting away some money each month so I can splurge totally on a new wardrobe when I get my fig back post baby (eventually that is!!!)
Can't wait for all the autumn/winter catalogues to peruse!!!

Shame about the dress and shoes Kat, think of it this way, the £90 shoes didn't realy cost much in taht respect. I'm seeing alot of sales recently, never noticed em before this time of year, do you know why?
Also, woooooooooow you use 'divine' alot :wow:

I know, the bags and belts have me drooling. Actually, my sister also has a gorgeous brown distressed leather bag from there that I have seriously considered stealing from her.
I need to go shopping v soon in London town, once this football nonsense is over dh can have the children all to himself one day so I can shop properly.
The clothes are huge, which suits me just fine being of mere mortal proportions, but I suspect if you are v tall and slender then maybe not so good.
