View Full Version : I am SO proud of my little boy

This is after my thread the other week about totally losing it with him about him not wanting to join in at the sports centre activity....
Had another one booked for him last week so off we went, cue tantrums and clinging for 20 minutes. In the end I walked out and left him to the scary French lady that runs it. He continued wailing for the next few minutes, then clung to her desperately for a bit, whilst I watched him without him seeing me. My heart was aching for the poor little mite - he just looked so young. Finally he really enjoyed the last 20 minutes or so.
Went again today and he walked straight in, had a bit of a wail whilst I walked out and then got stuck straight in.
I was watching him from the balcony and I was so so proud and :lurve::lurve: as he was joining in everything and was skipping along and running along a beam and throwing beanbags, etc.
It did make me  though as he looked so grown up and like a child, rather than my little toddler.
I just LOVE him so much it makes my heart ache.

Ahhh BG, that made me all:cry:
That is how I feel about my lil dude too:lurve:
And it is so weird watching them play from afar, it makes them seem so vunerable yet so grown up, and it so
And well done to Dan, for being such a good boy (and of course he would love it- but he just loves his mummy too, and doesn't want you to leave:lurve: )

But I so know what you mean when you look at them and they look so teeny on their own and then you realise that they are getting a bit independent
Exactly what I wanted to say, but Spacey put it so much better.
Well done, Dan  :thumb:.

What a lovely post.
Funny, as I was listening to J playing today - all chatter and imagination I had similar thoughts... a bitter sweet pride.

Thanks girls - I am so proud of him at the moment. He is growing up into such a lovely, friendly, enthusiastic little boy.
And thank you very much for the lovely comments about my mothering skills - you wouldn't have thought that if you had seen me dragginghim down the street the other week
