Can you tell me roughly what time they wake, when they go for their naps and how long for and what time you put them to bed at night?

Just roughly will do

Tobes wakes up around 6am but is quite happy snuggling till I get up at 7.

He falls asleep at around 9-9.30, wakes up at around 11.30 then goes again at about 3.30-4ish (sometimes he'll have a power-nap inbetween.....

He wakes up again at about 5ish ready to go to bed between 6.30 & 7

Betty wakes between 5.30-6.30, goes for her nap anytime between 9-10 for anything from 30-90 minutes, and then anytime from 1pm (depending how late she woke up from her morning nap), and will sleep for anything from 90mins to 3 hours (but never later than 4pm). She goes to bed at 7pm.

Well you said you wanted vague! :teehee: Gina Ford I'm not!

That's just not fair Booh :happyno:

Anyway, to answer the question - Anna only dropped the third nap about 3 weeks ago Twist, so don't worry if Amelie isn't ready to drop it yet. I seem to remember Mrs B saying Sol dropped his third nap quite late too.

Anna wakes up normally about 6-6.30am, but I don't feed her till 7am unless I absolutely have to. She has her first nap about 2-2.5hrs after she woke up, normally about 8.30-9ish and sleeps for about 45mins -1.5hrs. Literally in the past two weeks she's been able to/had to stay awake a lot longer before having her next nap - if I put her down 2.5hrs later like I used to she'll mess around for ages before going to sleep for half an hour, so I now have to put her down 3-3.5hrs after she woke up. She's usually down for her next nap about 1ish and will sleep for about 1-1.5hrs. Sometimes I'm lucky and she sleeps for nearer 2hrs but not very often. In the last couple of weeks she suddenly seems to need less daily sleep too and quite happily goes through the day on about 2hrs total sleep a lot of the time. She's normally awake from her afternoon nap by about half two and is absolutely dropping by bedtime, but I haven't been able to push the 2nd nap back later yet.

She has her bath about 6.15 and is usually in bed by 6.45 - used to be 7pm but she takes a lot less time to feed before bed now. I'd like her bedtime to be a bit later in the hope she wouldn't wake up so early, but until I can push the 2nd nap later I can't really keep her up any later in the evening.

Sorry Duckie!

But his naps have to fit in with my day......so he just does it!

There must be a trick to it though! I like to think Anna's naps have to fit in with my day too but she still does whatever the hell she wants to, and the day I choose to go back to sleep when she sleeps is the one where she'll take a half hour nap :happyno:

If he wakes up after only 20-30 mins then I will go back in and settle him down again and leave....never have had any crying.

9am and 2pm he went down, and went to sleep at 6.30pm til anytime between 5.30-6.30 the next morning

now he does 6pm til 6.30am and naps at just 9am

Sorry for the thread hijack Twist, but how do you settle him Booh? I try going back in to Anna and signing sleep to her, telling her it's still time to sleep and then leaving her to it but she never actually goes back to sleep - she might go quiet for a few minutes lulling me into a false sense of security but then starts talking to herself and messing around bashing the bars etc. and will start crying if i leave her too long.

No idea - I just do! I don't talk to him, just go in, find his lion, stroke his face a couple of times, put his music on and leave.

Leighton is usually up by around 7ish, sometimes earlier depending on what time everyone else in the family gets up  . Naps from 9am until 10:30-11am. Naps again from 1pm until 2:30-3pm. Naps sometimes between 4:30-5:30pm. Then he goes down for the night between 7-7:30pm.

Yep Duckie, think Sol was quite late to drop the 3rd one.

Twist, at A's age, he was up at 7, napped between 9 and 10.30, then again between 1 and 2.30, bed at 7. Now, the naps are roughly between 10 and 11.30, and 2 and 3.30; he can stay awake for longer now but still seems to need the same amount of sleep.

It's nice as they get older, have found that the routine becomes more flexible when I need it to be, for example taking him to swimming or a music class. And today he wouldn't nap this morning, managed to go through til 2pm (just!) and is now fast asleep.

P is nearly 15 moths & has just dropped down to 1 sleep a day.
From about 6 months till 14 months she was like this:
wake up btwn 7 & 7.30
back to bed for an hour at 6 months, probably 40 mins about 8 months at about 9 or 9.30. (by 14 mths I had dropped this to 30 mins or sometimes 20. It was just a battery re-charge for the last couple of months)
From about 7 months till 12 months slept about 1-3,
now she's not getting the morning nap she's virtually asleep in her lunch so she's now in bed by 12.30 and up about 3.
bed btwn 6.30 & 7

It is amazing, reading everyone's replies, it really reminds you how individual all these babies are!

HTH, I read your other post, sorry you're having a rough time
