I spent about 50 mins making Lulah lovely noodles with a very very mild curry sauce (with coconut milk) and veggies and chicken for her dinner.

Would she eat it?

Would she feck.

Took a mouthful of noodles, spat them out and said it's yucky .

Wouldn't eat any of the veggies.

I offered her some pasta and she wouldn't eat that either :spank: so only had a nectarine for her dinner.

I tasted the noodles and they were YUMMY. In fact, I am going to augment them with more curry paste, chicken, peanut butter, veggies and coconut milk to make a satay noodles thing and WE will eat them for dinner   .

First time for ages I was tempted to make something new and special. Suppose it's my own fault for choosing to do this when she's not 100%

Thanks for letting me rant!

I think it's to do with Lulah being ill rather than the dish itself Minky - P is right off all her usual foods atm, choosing instead to live on croissants and bananas! I'm just grateful she's still having her night-time milk or I'd be really worried.

Wait til she's feeling herself and I'm sure she'll eat the lot.

:teehee: AHA!!! Welcome to my world!!! :teehee:

I have absolutely sod all sympathy for you as you were blessed with an angel child that will eat everything that you put in front of her.

I (and many others) on the other hand, have that specimen of child who had done that spitting out trick on more times that I can actually be bothered to remember.

But the little fecking traitor will eat a WHOLE portion of mash, cumberland sausages and beans (I swear to god it was huge - literally 4 times the amount she would normally eat on a GOOD day!!) in Giraffe at lunchtime today, prompting her daddy to ask me "why I thought she was a fussy eater :puzzled: " :hissyfit:

On the upside hon, at least you have something scrummy for your tea!!!!

(another reason why in our house, nothing that I cook for Hettie can take over 15 mins to prepare as 80% of the time it gets binned anyway - learnt my lesson ooh about a year ago :yeahright: )

Actually, like Lois says, I'm sure she's just having an off day and normal service will be resumed tomorrow  (why not keep some and see if she'll eat it tomorrow???)

I share in your annoyance Minky, I made Del a Spinach, Potato and Leek curry for dinner and it took ages. She said  but not as cheerfully and had a yoghurt instead

It's SO frustrating when you make something really scrummy and they won't even acknowledge it. Makes me want to hurl it at the wall (I'm not demented, honestly!)

I'd agree with the others about her just being off colour as she's ill. Alex didn't eat much for days when he had the pox and you could just see the weight coming off him.

Sounds very yummy though !

It was from the purple and white book, and of course I "Minkyvated it" and didn't use the chilli and didn't have korma paste(though in fact the label had come the curry paste jar so I have no idea what sort it is :teehee:).

It was yummy!
