When might I expect my periods to return? Isabel will be 13 weeks old on Saturday and I havent seen them return yet.

Did you bf at all? That can affect them coming back. Paige was 8 weeks old when mine came back (I didn't bf)

you never know i would test just to be sure you are major fertile after having a baby...good luck x

It was two days short of 6 months after birth for me. Am still bf-ing though so hoped it would stay away longer.

Well i bf for 5.5 months and my AF returned about 12/14 wks after i stopped feeding, I expected them to come back sooner but NO. All my bf friends said there's returned around 2 wks after finishing off bf or if they bf for over 12 months that they came back at around 8 months or so after the birth.

I haven't a clue when they're supposed to come back if you don't bf?

The doctor says it can take anything up to six months...just count yourself lucky.

I've been having period type pains on and off or weeks. I'm hoping that they will stay away as they make me very ill and I can't bear the thought of looking after a baby at the same time as AF :cry:

Hi Joanna,

I didn't bf and mine started 10 weeks after, I guess it could be any day for you!! To be honest they've been really heavy and I'm back on the pill so stupidly thought they would just return to normal. :no:

My periods returned when Jay was 6 weeks old.

He is 3 months now and Iv bled eversince on and off. Frigging minipill :-(

Joanna - I think I am just as paranoid as you - Thomas is just over 9 weeks and no sign of AF as yet, I keep convincing myself that I'm having period type pains and then - nothing!!!
Also, I know this sounds gross my I am getting lots of EWCM which I thought was only supposed to last a couple of days :huh: but so far 2 weeks :huh:
I asked my sister the other day how long it took her and she said she didn't wait for AF just went straight back on pill after 6 week check. I am 1/2 tempted to do this and take the pill for a couple of months in hope that my real periods will then return.
I am far too scared to do a pg test - we've been very careful but am still too scared!!!!!!!
