Was it you that I gave the Hot cross bun recipe to on HB F&D yesterday? If so, how did they turn out?

Yes it was me! I am redhed all over t'internet - I get confused otherwise :oops:

They turned out OK - I didn't have any mixed spice though so used cinnamon, ginger & cloves. I'll put less cloves in next time! But I made 12 and there appear to be 4 left and I've only had 3 so they must be OK! :lol: The main thing is that it works really well without dairy and substituting different dried fruit. So Yay! for hot cross buns :ellie: and thanks again for posting it.

One thing I would say - my scales may have gone bonkers but I found the amounts they gave for making the paste for the crosses on top of the buns a bit off. Had to add quite a bit more liquid.
