Anyone got any good quick & easy ideas for a cake and candy stall? Normally I'd do a lot of proper baking but I'm not going to be there on the day and need to make stuff a couple of days in advance and won't have much time as I'll be working and packing for a weekend away.
I thought chocolate crispies, marshmallow top hats and malteaser tray bake. Any others?

I've made Delia's Childrens Cake (http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/childrens-cake,1790,RC.html) before, it's really nice and easy.

oh God, TABLET! It always sells really well. Traybake of any description always a hit at stalls I go to/sell at! Truffles are also really easy (porridge oats, drinking choc, melted butter, coconut - mix and roll in vermicelli/coconut!)

flapjack is a great idea!!
Muffins?? (although I'm PANTS at making them despite all the lovely recipes you've given me  ) They're v easy, quick and when other people cook them, really tasty!!
I personally would always always buy a carrot cake or gingerbread if it was for sale but that's much more complicated/expensive to cook!

eta - the other thing that I love and you can always get quite a bit of money for is fudge!! (although I'm presuming that's really difficult to make??!)

scones? traybakes of other descriptions too - as you know "rocky road" is a massive hit in this part of the world, as is tiffin, and millionaire's shortbread. good luck!

ooooh scones definitely!! I'd always buy homemade scones!
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Millionaire's shortbread (but can't buy it as I literally will end up eating all of it - note the Waitrose one is the best in the entire world but you will eat all of it in one sitting  )

call yourself an Aberdonian woman?
it's that tray bake with biscuit, chocolate and marshmallow. I only ever saw it in Aberdeen though!
Gawd I'm hungry now and sorely tempted to go to the coffee shop in Alford, where they sell all of these delights.

oh eck, of course. you DID tell me that
not even sure that rocky road is a local thing (in the same way that Aberdeen butteries are...)
I managed to resist going to the bistro for coffee and millionaire's shortbread - phew! Got some Weight watchers carrot cakes instead
