View Full Version : Body Conditioning Class at gym - What to expect?
I'm doing a body conditioning class at my gym this evening. I've never done this class before and I don't know what to expect.
This is what the blub on my gym leaflet says:
A fitness and strength workout using a mixture of low impact exercises. Great for toning your thighs, buttocks, abs and lower body
Does anyone have any feedback for me?

Hi Sarah,
I go to a lot of the classes at my gym and every time you see the word BODY mentioned in the class description, you can bet ur bottom ur whole body will be exhuasted and worked by the end of the class.
You will probably find that they mix the class up, so for example one song will be an aerobics type one.. ie cardio exercise, then the next song might be dedicated to toning your tummy by doing sit ups, then cardio again and maybe a bum workout.
I am sure you will love it... from what I remember it is not a very co-ordinated class.... so if ur anything like me you will not be looking like a big stiffy in the class !!!
Have fun !!!
I went this evening and it was fabulous!
We started by warming up doing some aerobics, and although I didn't know the moves, I didn't do *too badly* I guess.
Then it was controlled movements on set areas, some using weights and some without..... I do have a feeling that I am going to ache tomorrow that is for sure!!!
Anyhow, I enjoyed it that much I have put my name down for next weeks class already :)
