Isabel is 3 months old in a few days and she has well and truly found her thumb, she now removed her dummy in favour of said thumb! She is laying next to me watching telly sucking avidly on it.

I really didnt expect babies to thumbsuck yet

My friends little boy was born with a blister on his thumb where he had been sucking it in the womb! He is 5 now and still sucks the same thumb always has done.

I didn't want to give Lu a dummy but got desparate when she was 6 wks but she wouldn't take it. She started sucking her thumb at around 3ish months but DH hates it so kept taking it out if he saw her sucking it (mean Daddy). She stopped by around 5/6 months and has never bothered again since, nor does she have a dummy!

My Sisters daughter had a dummy from birth and started sucking her thumb quite quickly, she is around 6/7 months now and still has her dummy but occasionally sucks her thumb too.

Eliza has never really bothered with her thumb, she is too in love with her Dummy :laff: :laff:

I think its cute, though I can imagine not so cute on a 7 yr old :laff: :laff:

I can't wait for Amy to find her thumb. She does like a dummy when she is really unsettled but will stop using one when she overcomes her colic. So hope she will find her thumb.

Claire never took a dummy or found her thumb but she would suck on the ears of a cuddly rabbit at sleeptimes.
