and got:

some American clam bake style book for 20p with loads of seafood recipes and fish recipes and american cheesecake recipes etc. just need to work out how to place my hands on 10 crabs and 4 lobsters for my next party so I can do a clam bake!!

a book on wine making for DH (I'll keep it til father's day as Laura pulled it off the shelf which is how I noticed it) - for 50p. His other one got damp and fell apart as he left it in the shed.

An old fashioned book called "Natural Gardens - Gardening with native plants" - he'll love that. Hope by Native they mean the UK! Oh feck it's American! Oh well, it was only 50p.

Ainsley Harriott's "Meals in Minutes" - I need some fast food ideas for the days I'm at work, it's all too rushed.

More Seasonal Cooking by Claire Macdonald (Scottish chef). 50p.

A "plastic bag with drawstring" set of Royal Horticultural Society books - Herb gardens, ponds and water features, paths and paving, containers, arches and pergolas and walls and fences - £1.50. It's brand new and will be invaluable to them (DH and the other gardeners) as a reference guide. Might save that for next Sunday too so he seems to have more Father's Day Stash

Not bad! I also got Laura this little push along truck for £2 - why do I do it? As if she hasn't got loads of that sort of thing anyway! But she was so in love with it. And I've just sorted through all my cookery books last week as I had way too many

I've heard the Ainsley book is good. Sounds like you had a good lot of things:thumb:

I got to go into the store room at the back - a special privelege, so the old dear had me believe!

I love the Meals in Minutes book. The Chow Mein is really good, and so simple.
