Hi all
I have a Kenwood Chef that has made me :puzzled: recently. I was making a pavlova a few weeks ago - it's a recipe where you beat it for 10 minutes. AFter about 5 mins, smoke started pouring out of the mixer :brainache: and it STUNK.
So of course I stopped it and waited for it to cool down while I used a hand mixer  to finish the pav...
Used it again and a bit of smoke but not as much...
Then made brownies on Saturday and it was ok - smelled a bit but no smoke.
Now, the motor sounded absolutely fine at all times (smoke and all) and I would have thought that if there had been a problem with the motor it would have sounded funny...
I've looked on the Kenwood website, and typically, there's no authorised repairer near me, but Mr Minky COULD take it into central London I suppose.
I'm going to ring Kenwood customer service tomorrow (no email  ) and see what they say, but what do you think?
Continue using it? Or too dangerous to contemplate?
