As previoulsy mentioned my boiler is on the blink

The blue flame that you use to be able to see when the heating was on or the hot water you use to be able to see

Nw its making a funny buzzing noise and no lue flame is ignited or can be seen when the heating or hot water is on.

I assumed that it was ignitig somewhere as we wouldnt get any hot water etc, dean told me it was because the emergen was on

Its al been turnt off and we dont get no heating thankgod its not winter the water was still ho though but i dont know if this water is still what was being heated by the emergen

The boiler is 5 years old it came with the house when built b4 we moved in we had a inspecion done on it

It was with southern electric when we moved in and we changed over

Who do we need to call to come and look at it i dont have a clue

& will we be charged for them to come out.

Does anyone have any suggeistions of what it might be/or might be wrong with it

I don't have a clue. If you want someone to come out to it then look in the yellow pages and but it will cost you a call out charge. They sometimes do only last 5yrs.

Hope it is only something small though and cheap to fix but plumbers/central heating are not cheap

Are you renting CH? If not you will need a CORGI registered plumber/gas engineer to check your boiler. You can find one in your area through the CORGI (http://www.corgi-gas-safety.com/)website. Is there someone who could recommend an engineer to you?

The blue flame sounds like the pilot light. Have you tried to relight the boiler? There might be instructions for relighting on it.

Its sounds like the ignition's gone - what make and model is it? (should be on the boiler itself)

You will get a more reasonable rate from a CORGI gas op if you call them out between Mon-Fri 0900-1700. Check with them prior to their arrival what their rate is and whether they also charge for call out.

Some companies have a no fix no fee policy. Most boiler warranties are normally valid for between 1 and 3 years or so - does your new build home guarantee cover the boiler? Have you spoken to the firm who did your build? (Its worth a try)

Am just scanning your area now for CORGI guys I may have used before:wink:

Have tried the re-lightening instructions and nothing happens

I will look at that corgi website and call someone out

Looking at the booklet it says its VOKERA Mynute 10SE, 14SE &20SE oom sealed, fanned Flue system boiler

Dean has tried switching it on & off a few times and it just makes a funny sound and sounds like water trying to come through

My grandad popped round today and i got him to look at it

Its my pressure gage its not responding and i think something needs topping up, he tried to do it but couldnt figure it out and the booklet was no hope, all it said about toping it up was to call a engineer

He said to get it serviced which will be about £75 and they should then be able to fix it

Going to look on that corgi site now and call someone as were using our imergen heater for hot water and that can be expensive cant it
