i've been buying frozen veg lately as when i buy fresh i always seem to end up having to throw it out and it's a real waste - not to mention i've not much money so frozen is cheaper. anway, everytime i cook it it's always horrible - like its been overcooked...i cook from frozen

just wondered does anyone else buy frozen veg ie brocoli in particular and do you have the same problem...can you give me any tips on cooking it!

thanks

I always cook frozen veg in the microwave in a jug covered in clingfilm. I dont put any water in, it steams in its own. But I think it still never tastes as good as fresh veg. You could of course stock up on fresh, blanch it in boiling water then freeze it yourself.

I buy the frozen steam veg that comes in its own individual bags that you do in the microwave - never had any problems.
