Hello everyone
Some of you may "know" me from HB but thought I would post this here.
I am currently 17+2 with my second baby.
With Eliza I felt her move at 16+3, and was expecting to feel this one much earlier but nothing yet   I am trying hard not to worry but as the days go on I am getting more and more :-(
Anyone help, anyone with second babies felt them move later than their first????
Thanks
Adele

Hi Adele
Not sure if I can help much as I have 8 years between my pregnancies and can't remember when I felt Kenidee, but I first felt this bubs at about 14 or 15 weeks and now feel it kicking everyday loads.
I know some people from Sept mummys are over 17 weeks too and havent felt bubs yet, but not sure they are first timers!

I think I am 16+ 4, I did feel the baby move at about 15 weeks for a few days but I haven't felt it move everyday - in fact haven't felt it move for about a week but did hear the heartbeat last Wednesday. :)
It worries me too, but I just try and think that it's because I'm always running after a toddler now and that I'm too busy to feel it. I remember that last time I didn't feel it move everyday either until well into the second trimester. It does seem to move much more after chocolate so I might go and invetsigate the cupboard! :laff:

Hi Adelee - this is my first, so can't comment on the 2nd time thing, but I did feel bubs move fairly early on. However, another of the June Mummies still hasn't felt "proper" movements - still only the butterflys/pops kinda feeling, and she's nearly 30 weeks, but her bubba is fine and well, so try not to worry!

Hi
I am 19 weeks & the movements are there but they are not regular at all.
Over the last couple of days they have gotten more regular & it seems to be more active when I am in the car (must like the movement) or lying down still in bed.
However DH has only felt it once so they are still definatley more movements than kicks if that makes sense!
This is my 2nd and I felt the first movements about 2/3 weeks ago.
Can't remember with my 1st as it was 7 years ago!

Isn't 16 weeks really early though? I'm sure my book said I'd first feel movement between 18-20 weeks, which was about right. Maybe with Eliza it was just really early that you felt movement?
Try not worry about it chick, and don't forget you can always ring your midwife and go see her - that's what she's there for. :)

Wow! You're all early girls!
I was in the slow-bump-development class and didn't feel mine until about 20/21 weeks.
I think it also depends on the position of the baby in your body - he/she's probably wriggling away but kicking the bits of you with no nerves!
All sounds perfectly normal to me (but I'm a first-timer so what would I know! :)

Exactly.
You do not actually feel the baby moving as your uterus has no feelings. What you feel is the uterus knocking against other things which do have nerve endings etc.
(Well this is what I have read anyway!) :laff:
