View Full Version : Bed Linen
I'm sick of buying bed linen that after half a dozen washes looks and feels about 10 years old, maybe a slight exageration, but you get my drift.
Does anyone have any suggestions on any particular brands or places that sell decent quality stuff.
Thanks in advance.
Well, it depends what you like. I love really crisp cotton sheets and duvet covers and would recommend M&S for their sheets (they've lasted AGES) and Debenhams for the covers.
My OH loves winsiette sheets :loco: (which I think go really manky after a number of washes) and a really old duvet set that now feels like jersey material so a charity shop for those :teehee:
Not much help, really....
My sheets are from John Lewis, and the bedding is from Laura Ashley.
I've had a few of the sets from LA and they have lasted really well.
I HAVE to have 100% cotton, I don't know if that makes a difference.
The White Company do lovely bedding, and the quality is supposed to be excellent. You can get some good deals in the sales, or it's worth subscribing to their email as they often have 10% off free p&p promotions.
Sheridan do nice quality bedding - I get mine from House of Fraser. The first Sheridan set I got a couple of years ago is still going strong now and looks as good as new.
I know eactly what you mean about them going washed out - I bought a set from Next as extra bedding and it went all shapeless and washed out after the first wash.
I bought a cotton quilt cover and pillow cases from Ikea when I first moved in to my own house and 9 yrs later they still look good. All my others from other shops look faded and bobbley.
I'm defo going back to Ikea.
