stop it from turning into a big soggy lump?

I love cous cous and have been through multiple packets, following the instructions exactly, more water, less water etc but always end up with the same result...a big claggy mess. Which is really heavy and squishy to eat.

mm I never have much problem with couscous (which is surprising really, seeing as most other things I touch are a disaster!!!)

For 2 people I will normally use (bear in mind we are hoovers!!) 150g of couscous, in a bowl, add 175ml or thereabouts of boiling water (or stock), cover bowl with a plate and leave for 10 mins.

Drizzle on some olive oil and "fluff with a fork" :cheer2:

I just put some in a bowl and cover with boiling water and then leave it for a few mins. Then fluff and add olive oil as Katkinn and some tomatoes and bits and pieces.

Try not following the recipe and see what happens?

I tend to use stock as I find it gives it a nice flavour.

I've only ever had one problem with it going all stodgy and that was when I followed the instructions
