DS is nearly 4. It seems he's always been prone to getting a really sweaty head. And I mean that even tonight, he's got a sweat patch on his pillow (even though he hasn't got a temperature and his room is not too hot). When he plays in the summer, or even on hot days, it gets quite bad and he used to think that someone had poured water on his hair because it was soaking.

Is this normal? Do other children get sweaty heads as well, or is it excessive and I should see someone about it?

I hope he's not going to suffer from being too sweaty when he reaches puberty - Stinky!!! (and embarassing for him)

M is 4 and that s exactly the same thing here...
Many friends told me the same about their kids, especially when they are sleeping.:brainache:
I think it s got to do with the fact that children have big head in proportion to the body and sweat come out throught their head(i m not making much sens here)  :teehee:
I don t worry about it as lots of friends + my sisters told me it s normal:smile:

Good o. He's used to it now but I hope it's something that he grows out of

Thanks for your reply.

Alex gets exactly the same problem !

I've picked him from nursery before and he's drenched - I think it's normal though but I've had the same concerns re: puberty :laff:
