 I honestly think it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Plus I think it depends on the child.

Personally I think H would get more out of a slideset (I'm not going for the swing as a) it means I have to push her :teehee: and b) I think that they can have more accidents falling off them!!)

In fact we were thinking about the same thing the other day :scratchchin:

I was looking at some lovely little wooden playhouses but like the idea of being able to hose down the plastic ones

Sorry -that's about as much use as a chocolate teapot

Or I may just go for a water/sand table which is about a 10th of the cost and no doubt she'll love it just as much

hmm tough one, mia had a slide climbing thing, (In the shed right now) plus she had a wendy house, and some plastic type house.

She played with all of them to be honest. The plastic one is at grandma's house now as we dont have room in our garden, and she was playing in it for ages, but maybe that is because she hasnt seen it in ages.

My sister has a playhouse & during the winter it spends its time in her kids playroom so it gets use all year

Not unless they climb on top of the playhouse and see who can jump the furthest:faint:

That was my dilemma. I love the wooden ones far more than the plastic ones but I feel like spiders will be hiding in all the nooks and crannies on the wooden ones and I can just pressure wash the plastic one

We are getting her a little swing and a slide, and a sand/water table  oops!

Another vote for a playhouse - I felt I could take my eye off DS1 for a second whereas with a slide I wouldnt have done

My two love their playhouse. I wouldn't trust DS & DD with a swing till they are older. If we bought a swing I'm sure teeth would be lost within 10mins, LOL.

Amelia has a wooden playhouse and she loves it. Its one of the best presents we have brought her.

She is in it all year round as there is a path from the patio to her front door.

We made it into a little dress up play area for her. At the moment she has a little bench that has her dress ups stored in it, a little dressing table and stool, a chair and a unit that has her shoes bags and jewellery in it.

The way we looked at it was that she has loads of parks she can go to. So she gets the use of swing and slides etc.

I can't decide!
I feel exactly like that about the wooden playhouses - with the spiders, but DH won't have plastic :happyno: .
I was thinking of barking a bit of the garden and putting swing/slides on but I just don't know. Maybe I should get a swing set with an integrated playhouse? if only they did those for less than £500 maybe I could persuade DH (yeah right :teehee: )
thanks fo ryour replies.

Since A has had her playhouse I have never seen a spider in it.
